Roman Protasevich gets arrested on a flight hijack by the Belarusian Government
The Belarusian authorities were told to kill him whenever he comes in sight with them.
So, Roman Protasevich escaped from Belarus. He was living in exile in Lithuania since 2019.
On Sunday 23rd, May 2021, he was returning from Athens to Vilnius, Lithuania by flight. Soon, a MiG-29 fighter jet under the orders of the President of Belarus reached near the flight in the sky, and radio communicated with the pilot. It was told that due to some emergency purpose the flight had to be landed in Belarus instead of Lithuania.
Soon the flight landed in Belarus and then the Belarusian authorities arrested Roman Protasevich along with his friend who was in the flight with him.
How did the Belarusian authorities come to know that he was on the flight? Some people said that there were some Police officers from the Belarusian agencies. The officers informed the authorities that Roman Protasevich was on the flight.
Today, 25th May 2021, a video is going viral in which Roman Protasevich says, ‘I confess and cooperate with the investigation…’
Now, the whole world is protesting against the Belarusian Government. Let's see what happens next.
